Removing Tail Lights

The rear lights are 2-part construction and consists of an inner and an outer part. The inner part contains the light source and is threaded at one point.

The outer part is a reflector and simply plugged in. These triangles were available as sidemarkers in other countries.

To lever out the Triangles you can actually use your hands. If in doubt you can work with a screwdriver as a lever.

Attentation! When using a support tool to use, otherwise there is a risk that the glass breaks the lamp carrier at exactly the point at which one attaches the tool!

You can start here to leverage the Triangles and reveal the hidden screws

Here you can see the screws which hold the lamp carrier (see markings on picture)

Another screw is located at the top of the lamp carrier - it will require the tailgate to be opened - the screw is directly visible.

The lamp holder is then placed on its back at 2 places in the body - take this easy, just pull, it's unlikely that something will break.
